WORKERS at a Swindon depot have celebrated £113 million of investment in the gas network over the past decade.

As part of the anniversary of the formation of Wales & West Utilities, a team at the depot celebrated with colleagues, suppliers and partners.

The event brought together individuals who work to support customers, while also increasing the security and safety of gas supplies to the local area through the gas pipe replacement programme.

Performance manager Bill Frost, one of the Wales & West Utilities team working from the Swindon depot, has worked with the company for 10 years and within the industry for 35.

He said: “I am delighted to have played a part in the achievements of the team locally. Having the recognition of how our work has impacted on the business is great and I am looking forward to what the future will bring for our Swindon depot.”

Wales & West Utilities chief executive, Graham Edwards, said: “We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting milestone and to acknowledge the vital role our Swindon colleagues, customers, partners and community have played in our success.”

The firm operates about 35,000 kilometres of gas pipelines to 2.5 million homes and business, across Wales and the South West of England.
