REWIND South, the 80s festival is back to Henley for a seventh year this weekend with a line-up to rival all previous instalments.

With OMD and Human League among headliners, the retro pop bonanza certainly aimed for music royalty this year.

The new wave icons will be in good company with a host of star-studded performances from Kim Wilde, ABC, Bananarama, Billy Ocean, Belinda Carlisle, Go West, Soul II Soul, Midge Ure, T’Pau, Nik Kershaw to mention a few.

A handful of 80s chart-toppers will make their festival debut including Black Box, Dave Edmunds, and Slim Jim Phantom from The Stray Cats.

Also poised to make its first Rewind appearance is the British Electric Foundation. B.E.F. is the brainchild of Heaven 17’s Martyn Ware, and will showcase a unique performance packed with a raft of legendary pop artists.

Ware has assembled a stellar line-up featuring the full Heaven 17 band performing songs made famous by the stars themselves, and cover versions in the inimitable B.E.F. pop style featuring Robin Scott, Thomas Dolby, Eddi Reader of Fairground Attraction, New Order’s Peter Hook and Shingai Shoniwa from The Noisettes.

Other treats are in store for 80s music fans with a Silent Disco, Bump Roller Disco and a Live Karaoke Bar. .

Rewind South, the 80s Festival will be held in Temple Island Meadows on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23.
