POLICE believe they have found the body of missing DJ Robert Makgill.
The 45-year-old from Bruton, Somerset, had reportedly been seen in Swindon and other places around Wiltshire recently.
Police were called by a member of the public at 10.50am on Saturday after a man's body was found in woodland between Bruton and Wincanton.
Although no formal identification has taken place, Avon and Somerset officers say they have good reason to believe it is Mr Makgill.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and his family have been informed.
The DJ, known as Dazzler, was first reported missing on July 15 but had not been seen since July 8.
Mr Makgill had told friends and family he was going to London but then no one else saw him.
A tribute on Facebook said: “Those of who were close to him would be able to testify to his extraordinary charm and his ability to light up a room with happiness.
“That he should have died alone and with a broken heart is supremely painful for us."
It continued: "There is no happy end to Robert’s story, for that, we’re more sorry than you can possibly know, but we tried.
"Thank you to each and every one of you that put up posters, that shared posts, that liked our page. Thanks also to all those that housed, fed, hugged and cared for Robert over the last few years.
"Your love for him is a proud testament to his life, we are indebted to you."
