PEOPLE are being encouraged to find their inner hero as part of a national fundraising event.
National Air Ambulance Week runs from September 20 to 27 and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is inviting people to don their capes and masks to raise money and help the charity’s heroes keep flying and saving lives. everyone to dress up as their favourite super hero and collect money as part of the charity’s Be Your Hero initiative.
GWAAC fundraising manager Emma Carter said:“The crew onboard our helicopter are heroes, saving lives that would be lost if we did not exist.
“By dressing up as your hero you are helping our heroes continue their life saving work.”
Budding artists are also being asked to design their own hero comic book as part of the fundraising scheme.
The charity is looking for schools to get involved in our Be Your Hero event by designing a comic strip about GWACC and their heroic adventures.
The winning comic will be professionally printed and turned into your very own book.
