A 12-year-old boy is being questioned by police after an incident at a Swindon skate park.
A boy aged ten sustained a cut nose and bruising to his eye during the incident at the skate park near Morrisons in Haydon Wick on Thursday, August 27.
His glasses were also broken as a result.
Following an appeal, photographic evidence was passed to officers which resulted in the group of youths being traced.
They assisted police with their enquiries which led to the suspect being identified.
Officers are now working with the family of the victim to achieve a resolution.
PC Kevin Payne, who has led the investigation, said: "It has only been due to diligence and help from the local community, and the work of the North Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team which has brought this matter to its imminent conclusion.
"The family of the boy have been updated and are grateful to everyone involved."
