North Swindon Community Fun Day

The event takes place on Saturday with organisers hoping for even more visitors than the 4,000 who turned out for the first one last year.

It takes place at Brook Park, in Redhouse, from 1-6pm and is put together by a team of local residents.

Like last year there will be a vintage tea tent and a barbecue but this year there will also be a beer tent and a live music stage. For more information visit nscommunitygroup.org.uk or visit facebook.com/nsFunDay 13631151

Sausage and Ale Trail

Old Town’s delis, restaurants and cafes will produce a banquet of sausage and beer-themed treats on Sunday for the second Sausage and Ale Trail from noon until 5pm.

An extra four stalls selling food have been added to the 12 or so there were in Wood Street last year, plus the pubs and restaurant around Old Town, with more variety and more live cooking expected.
