A SWEET staffie who has spent more than three years in foster care is looking for a loving caring new home.

Brindle female Megan was initially brought to dog charity SNDogs as a stray but has since struggled to find a forever home.

The 10-year-old has spent the past three years in a Cirencester foster home but without an adoption she faces going into the unfamiliar environment of kennels in the coming weeks.

Jessie Bascombe, trustee and lead co-ordinator at the newly formed charity said Megan would provide a loving new addition to any home.

“She was brought in as a stray initially but in terms of her behaviour she’s a good girl and she’s always been well-behaved,” said Jessie.

“She’s absolutely amazing with children, she’ll give lots of hugs and kisses.

“Megan’s foster carers are moving soon and won’t be able to look after her any more so she’s had a bit of a run of bad luck with re-homing.

“She has been waiting for so long now and we just want to get her a lovely home as she is such a sweet girl.”

Due to Megan’s advanced years and timid nature due to a previous dog attack, Jessie said it had become increasingly difficult to find the perfect pooch a home.

“It’s always difficult to find a home for an older dog anyway so we desperately need somewhere for her to be placed,” Jessie said.

“Also Brindle staffies don’t seem to be as popular as other colours. Megan was attacked by another dog a while back and can be quite timid around dogs she doesn’t know as a result so we are looking for a home where she is the primary pet.”
