A TEENAGER has been charged with assault and possession of a blade after an incident at Isambard Community School yesterday.
Police were called to the school in Redhouse early in the morning to reports a teacher had been assaulted.
A 13-year-old boy was later arrested, and has been excluded permanently from the school.
The teenager was today released on bail to appear at youth court next month, charged with threatening a person with a blade on school premises.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: A 13-year-old boy from Swindon has been charged with assault, possession of a blade in a public place and threatening a person with a blade on school premises.
"He has been released on bail to appear at Swindon Youth Court on October 13."
