MORE than 100 concerned people are expected to hit the streets of Bristol tomorrow to search for missing musician Paul Griffiths.

The Stadium Dogs and Cube star was last seen at around 11.30am in the Stapleton area of Bristol on Tuesday. When he didn’t arrive at an appointment in the city shortly afterwards his family began to worry.

Now they have mounted a massive appeal to help find Paul, who is 60.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary have also called on members of the public to contact them with any potential sightings of him.

Friends and family have already been searching Swindon in the hope that he made his way back to the town, but it is believed he must still be in Bristol as he didn’t have any money on him at the time of his disappearance.

Today, two massive search parties will be launched across Bristol, and Paul’s wife Denise O’Sullivan called on fans of her husband’s musical work to help them in the searches, which were the brainchild of daughters Natasha, 30, Yazmin, 26, and Mia, 17.

She said: “It is like he has just disappeared into thin air. People have been out in Swindon since first light looking for him, but we don’t think he has made it home to Swindon because he didn’t have any money on him.”

Tomorrow the family will be concentrating their efforts on Bristol, with more than 100 people promising to lend their help in the searches.

Denise added: “We have taken the advice of some friends who are in the Metropolitan Police who will be coming with us to help organise everyone so that it is all properly organised.

“We will all be put into teams and each one will be given a location so that we can do sweeps through parks, green spaces as well as some residential areas as well.

“It is very difficult to be so public with these things when you are quite private people, but the if the end result is if it gets him home it will have all been worth it.

“You often read that when people have these crises that it is the support of people around them that keeps them going. From the bottom of my heart I will always be eternally grateful for all of the support that we have had, and so will Paul when he gets home.”

Anyone wishing to join in the search should meet the family at the Tesco Bristol East Extra on Eastgate Road, just off the M32 by Ikea.

The first search will begin at 8.30am, with a second search beginning at 1.30pm.

Paul, of Clifton Street, is described as a white male with light grey and brown hair. He is approximately 5ft 7in tall.

Anyone with any information on Paul’s whereabouts should contact Avon and Somerset Constabulary on 101 and quote missing person number 5215007574.
