OLLIE Williams was described by his family as a lad who lived life to the full after he died in a collision at Upper Inglesham.

The 23-year-old from Lechlade died alongside John Barnes, 76, of Fairford, when four cars crashed on the stretch of the A361 north of Highworth on Friday, September 25.

The former Swindon College student leaves behind parents Andrew and Marie, siblings Hannah, Joseph and Evie, and girlfriend Alex.

On Friday his family paid tribute to the boy with the unforgettable cheeky smile.

"Oliver Lee Williams, age 23, of Lechlade was tragically taken from us on 25th September," they said.

"Growing up in Lechlade and attending local schools, Ollie went on to study at Swindon College. After working years at various local pubs, he became a familiar, friendly face to many before moving on to work as a labourer at Blenheim Brickwork.

"Eldest son to Andrew and Marie, big brother to Hannah, Joseph, and Evie and loving boyfriend to Alex, Ollie lived life to the full.

"Part of a large, loving close family his absence will leave a big hole in many people's lives.

"We would like to thank family, close friends, and the local community for the overwhelming support. He will always be remembered for his cheeky smile and sense of humour."

Officers closed the road for around seven hours after the collision at around 9.36pm. Police have appealed for any witnesses who saw the movements of any vehicles involved, including Ollie's Red Fiesta and John's silver Fusion.
