TWO Swindon councillors have been snapped frolicking in the streets of Manchester after day two of the Conservative Party Conference.
Coun Toby Elliott (Con, Priory Vale), Swindon Borough Council cabinet member for communities and strategic planning, and Coun Claire Ellis (Con, Old Town) were caught by the paparazzi last night.
In a series of snaps taken of various Tory groups stumbling through the streets of Manchester at the conference, Coun Ellis is seen skipping, shoeless, down the pavement.
And in another Coun Elliott is caught giving his colleague a fireman’s lift down the road, both bearing their conference lanyards as representatives of the party.
The pair both work in the offices of Swindon’s two MPs. Coun Elliott is part of Justin Tomlinson’s team, while Coun Ellis supports Robert Buckland.
Neither of the MPs were willing to comment on the pictures, while the councillors themselves, each elected this May, are yet to respond.
