KAYE Franklin, who died last week, was a remarkable woman, a force for good in Swindon’s cultural life, its heritage, and work with the town’s diverse communities.
There are people who touch minds, and others who touch hearts. Kaye touched both.
She was, on the one hand, affectionate, warm and caring with everyone she met, and on the other, intellectually sharp, determined, and, when necessary, positively critical.
Kaye stood for things, many things, but always good things. She wanted the world, and Swindon, to be a better place.
Kaye may be gone but there are many of us who aim to make sure that her legacy lives on.
