IN his 60 years on this planet, comedy writer and performer Andy Hamilton has experienced many changes. For instance, he was once a 6ft 4in tall professional basketball player, until a tree fell on him.

But, of course, change is an inescapable part of the human condition. Why? Is that fair? Some changes are good, some bad. Why can’t they be more clearly labelled? How did we end up working longer hours? Where did all the sparrows go?

Andy will teach useful coping mechanisms, trying out his latest material ahead of his upcoming Change Management tour.

Andy has co-created, written and directed hit BBC sitcom Outnumbered and What We Did on Our Holiday, starring Rosamund Pike and David Tennant.

Andy is also renowned for his long-running BBC Radio 4 sitcom Old Harry’s Game and as a panel regular on The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue. He also pops up on TV shows such as Have I Got News For You and QI. Andy is at the Arts Centre on October 13 at 8pm. Tickets are £17 from 01793 524481 or at swindontheatres.co.uk.
