PLAYTIME has got that little bit more colourful at a nursery in Swindon thanks to a helping hand from a group of older pupils.

The three and four-year-old pre-schoolers at The Croft Playgroup, based in Marlborough Road, have been enjoying some incredible new games with the arrival of some fun new additions to their garden courtesy of students from Swindon College.

Annette Head of the nursery said: “The students donated large pots that are perfect for hide and seek and spring bulbs, as well as a variety of sized and coloured tyres. “The work the students have done has both brightened up our grass area but also given the children a great time and lots of exercise as they are bouncing on and weaving through the tyres.

“They are a welcome addition to the outside area and will provide many hours of fun for the children.”

She added that donations to the charity-run nursery were always a welcome addition.

She said: “The Croft Playgroup is a popular charity-run pre-school so our committee is always working tirelessly to fundraise and it is fantastic to receive support from the local community. Both the staff and children would like to express their thanks and appreciation to all of the students from Swindon College involved in this project.”
