A DAD who groomed two 13-year-old girls he met on the internet and got to commit sex acts online for him has been jailed for six years.

Deano Abi-Nader, 24, who lied about his age in chat rooms, also 'videoed' one of the children who he had coaxed into carrying out the activity on herself.

Abi-Nader was also found to have numerous indecent images of children on his computer, iPod and iPhone, as well as extreme pornography involving animals.

Colin Meeke, prosecuting, told Swindon Crown Court that Abi-Nader's then girlfriend became concerned about things she saw on his laptop.

After confronting him about indecent images of children she found he smashed up the machine and took the hard-drive to his mum's house and hid it in the loft.

He then told her and his step-dad that if the police came and found the items they would be in trouble as accessories.

But, concerned by what he had said, they handed the material over to detectives and his girlfriend also told about what she had seen.

Abi-Nader was spoken to by the police before they had examined the hard-drives and he said the material had got there as a result of a computer virus.

When they were analysed it was found not only did they contain the pictures and movies, including one with a baby being abused, but they also found chat logs.

"He had posed as an 11 or 12 year old in a number of correspondence with a number of young girls," Mr Meeke said.

"He asked the girls to engage in sexual acts. He asked that they should film themselves.

"A number of girls who declared their ages as under 16 and appear to have posted films of themselves can be found on his own computer history."

Though the majority could not be identified, two of the girls, who were aged 13, could be traced and told how they had been affected by what had happened.

Both said they were being bullied at school at the time and sought solace online only to be preyed upon by the defendant.

"One was to say through a mixture of peer pressure, bravado, naivety, and simple silliness she went through with this," Mr Meeke said.

He said the other told officers that she had a history of learning difficulties and was a 'vulnerable girl'.

Abi-Nader, formerly of Victoria Road but now living in Gooch Street, had been due to stand trial but changed his plea before a jury could be sworn in.

He admitted two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity in June 2011, two counts of making indecent images of a child and one of possessing extreme pornography.

He denied three counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two attempts, one making and one of possessing indecent images of a child.

Tony Bignall, defending, said: "It is fair to say from the contact I have had with Mr Abi-Nader he is a very confused and troubled young man.

"There is a partner with whom he has a six-month-old daughter to whom he is devoted. This apparently normal man has a dark side."

Before previous court hearings he said he had attempted suicide but had the support of friends and family despite what he had done.

Jailing him, Judge Peter Blair QC said: "These were disgusting offences. Particularly vile were the counts where the 13-year-old child who you had sought out through social media, had significant personal learning difficulties and she was somebody you persuaded to carry out an act of penetration upon herself with an object.

"But moreover you recorded a moving image of her doing that which was found in your possession.

"A more unpleasant and viler type of offending of this nature it is hard to imagine because it wasn't just to her: there was more than one victim."

As well as jailing him he said Abi-Nader must register as a sex offender for life and imposed a sexual harm prevention order restricting his liberty when he is released.
