Shakespeare lives on at Schools Festival
PREPARE to fall in love with the Bard’s immortal words all over again at the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
On Monday and Tuesday, four schools will revisit four of the playwright’s works at the Wyvern Theatre. The event is the UK’s largest youth drama festival and sees more than 1,000 primary, secondary, and special schools stage abridged Shakespeare productions in local professional theatres, with 35,000 young people taking part this year.
The performance starts at 7pm each night. Tickets are £9, or £7 for concessions.
