ADVER Sport’s Tom Bassam hands out his ratings from Town’s 4-0 win at Chesterfield.

Lawrence Vigouroux: 8

Two outstanding saves in the second half in a brave performance. The stop from Ariyibi was unbelievable.

Bradley Barry: 8

Very good going forward and got another assist for Ajose and looked more comfortable as an orthodox full-back.

Adam El-Abd [captain]: 7 (booked)

No nonsense from the latest stand-in skipper. His defence had hairy moments, but they kept their shape well and were disciplined.

Jordan Turnbull: 7

Dealt well with the different challenges posed by Novak, Aribiyi, Dieseruvwe. Won plenty of crucial headers in the box.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill: 6

Still getting bullied in some situations, but generally this was an improved display.

Anton Rodgers: 7

The least visable of Town's midfield diamond, but did a good in shielding the backline.

Fabien Robert: 7

Pressed the Chesterfield defence well and looked tidy in possession, if not at his creative best.

Louis Thompson: 9

Another terrific performance as he scored for the second game in a row. Combined clever passing with proactive defending, a complete performance.

Ben Gladwin: 8

Some lovely moments with the ball at his feet and played the role of chief creator to a tee.

Nicky Ajose: 9

Two goals and it could have been more, always a threat in behind and linked well with Obika throughout.

Jonathan Obika: 8

Got the goal his performance deserved. He worked back well and held the ball up when needed.

Subs

Ellis Iandolo: 6 (on for Thompson, 78)

Slotted in well without being outstanding.

James Brophy: 6 (on for Ormonde-Ottewill, 82)

Not a lot to comment on.

Jeremy Balmy: 6 (on for Robert, 86)

A delightful cameo, he almost created a goal.
