A SECOND man has admitted being the accomplice of a 'professional burglar' during a string of hotel raids on the same day.

Dominic Chandler was involved in the series of break ins which took place between Cirencester and Swindon during the summer.

The 26-year-old, of Ramsbury Avenue, Penhill, pleaded guilty to four counts of burglary when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

He was with Lee Dommett, who has committed more than 100 raids in his criminal career, when they carried out the offences on Monday, July 27.

The pair first stole a Samsung mobile phone from the Corinium Hotel, Cirencester, then left empty handed from The Bull in Fairford.

At their next stop, the Highworth Hotel in Highworth, they stole a purse and memory stick.

Finally at the Mercure Hotel in South Marston they took a wallet and cigarettes from a room, making it a dwelling house burglary.

Dommett, also of Ramsbury Avenue, Penhill, has already admitted the four offences along with a fifth break in at a dentists surgery in Cirencester two weeks earlier.

He had been due to face sentence but after as judge heard Chandler had no previous convictions a judge ordered a presentence report on him.

He adjourned the case to Tuesday, December 8, and released Chandler on bail and remanded Dommett in custody.
