A FANTASY Queen of Hearts was holding court in Cricklade yesterday as she prepared to represent Wiltshire in a Miss Charity Hearts pageant next month.

Model Chloe Peters will take on the role of the fairytale character to raise money for the British Heart Foundation charity.

On Friday, she was posing at PoZers studio for a fundraising photographic day where make-up artist Alley Stallard helped her to create her look.

19-year-old Chloe who has previously been turned into one of the characters from a Nightmare Before Christmas for a similar shoot, is representing the county in the contest, which is open to girls and women from 4 to 30 regardless of their shape or size.

This will be Chloe’s first pageant and she told the Adver what it was that caught her attention.

“Miss Charity hearts appealed to me as the middle round can be anything brought in a charity shop. Not really intending to enter, I joked to my partner that I could do all three rounds using charity shop purchases already in my wardrobe and he told me to go for it,” she said.

“I buy half my clothes in charity shops anyway.”

In fact she is adapting a charity shop-bought dress for the evening wear round of the catwalk challenge by adding little hearts that can be sponsored.

Chloe only started modelling about 18-months-ago.

“As a child I actually never liked having my picture taken,” she said.

"But after helping a friend with a photography course I decided it was a good way to earn a little extra cash."

Chloe soon found she was in demand for fashion and photographic work.

She met make-up artist Alley Stallard during the 14-hours Nightmare Before Christmas shoot when she was made up as the character Sally. They became such good friends that Alley, who recently took over the studio offered to do her make-up for the pageant on February 21 and to host the special day yesterday where photographers were invited to take pictures of Chloe during one hour slots dressed as the Queen of Hearts in return for a £50 donation for the British Heart Foundation.

“It doesn't matter if Chloe wins or not," said Ally.

"This dedicated, kind and beautiful young lady is a winner in all of our eyes already. She isn't just beautiful on the outside, she's equally as beautiful on the inside.”

The contest on February 21will be held in Cannock, West Midlands.
