A pair of teenagers who robbed a man of his mobile phone will still face a trial over whether they had a knife.
The boy and girl, both aged 17, admitted using force to take the handset from their 20-year-old victim on Saturday December 5.
But the pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, say there was no knife involved in the incident.
Judge Tim Mousley QC, sitting at Swindon Crown Court, adjourned the case for a trial of issue where a judge will hear evidence and decide on the correct version.
He released the boy, from the Parks, into the care of the local community, and the girl, from Grange Park, on bail to a date to be fixed.
