JUSTIN Edinburgh is aiming to take advantage of some home comforts as he urges Gillingham to restore the Priestfield fear factor against Town tomorrow.

The Gillingham manager celebrates a full calendar year in charge of the Gills on Sunday and will be hoping to do so having secured another vital three points for his promotion-chasers against Luke Williams’ Swindon.

Gillingham, who are third in League One, have won just once in their last four outings but Saturday’s clash with Town is the first of three home games in February and Edinburgh is keen for his team to keep their Kent base, where they already boast the league’s most fearsome home record to date this season, a fortress.

“We have had a bit of indifferent form of late and have to try and regain that real consistency and that run of form that we had prior to the Wigan game,” the Gillingham boss told kentonline.co.uk.

“We have to look to make home comforts count. We have been fantastic here this season and if we can continue that, then the next three or four games are going to be valuable for us.”

Meanwhile, the Gills are set to welcome back striker Luke Norris, who sustained an ankle injury during his team’s 1-0 loss at Blackpool last weekend, against Town but will be without left-back Bradley Garmston, who is ruled out with a hamstring problem.

Edinburgh added: “It was good news because (Norris’ scan) came back that there are no worries there.”
