HEALTHCARE company Vygon, the UK’s leading supplier of high quality medical and surgical disposables has presented a cheque for £1,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The donation was made after Swindon-based Vygon sent out its annual customer survey telling recipients it was planning to make a charitable donation and asking for their nominations.

The winner was Macmillan.

Vygon’s marketing and communications manager Katie Kingston presented the cheque to Steve Goodrick, Macmillan’s fundraising manager in Wiltshire.

“The feedback we get from our customers is really important to us so that we can make sure we’re giving them the excellent levels of service they expect from Vygon,” said Katie. “We had a great response and we wanted to show our customers that we appreciated them taking time out of their busy days to help us. “They all work within hospitals and healthcare, so they have a great understanding of charities and how they can make a real difference to patients, including their friends and families.”

“We are delighted with their choice as we’ve supported Macmillan for many years. It was a great pleasure to present the cheque to Steve and hear more about the fantastic work Macmillan does in providing all kinds of support – both practical and emotional – to people affected by cancer.”

Vygon is the UK’s leading supplier of high quality single-use medical and surgical disposable products and is based at the Pierre Simonet Building at V Park, Gateway North in Swindon.
