MORE than 100 homes were without power in the Tanners Close area of Royal Wootton Bassett today.
The loss of power was reported at about 2.30pm today and Scottish and Southern Electricity Power Distribution says its engineers hopes to have supplies reconnected by 9.30pm to the 103 homes affected.
Power is now back on in the area of the town affected.
A spokesman said earlier: "The high winds have caused airborne debris to hit overhead power lines causing issues.
"Engineers are working hard to repair the fault and we apologise for the loss of power."
Homes in north of Chippenham are also suffering power cuts at the moment but it is understood that homes in Wroughton which were affected have now been reconnected.
