DANCERS from Bobbi’s Academy Of Dance have been jumping for joy after the tmgroup donated £1,000 to go towards the cost of outfits and transport to competitions.

The technology company, based at Delta Business Park, made the presentation to the group yesterday.

Lorna Anderson, the sales and marketing administrator at tmgroup said all employees at the company can ask for sponsorship.

She said: “What we do as a company for our employees is offer them sponsorships if they are involved in a particular activity or sport and we have previously sponsored one of our employees who does horse riding.

“When we told them that were going to make this donation, Bobbi was over the moon and she was really grateful and happy to know they would have these costumes as well as costs for transport.

“Employees are more than welcome to come forward and we will always listen to the causes people put to us.

"For these dancers, going to the Royal Albert Hall is amazing and to have matching outfits is even better.”

Bobbi’s Academy Of Dance was put forward by tmgroup employee Genia Roberts, whose daughter is a member.

“The passion that runs through BAD is tremendous and there are some incredibly talented pupils," she said.

“When another colleague from tmgroup mentioned sponsorship I put a request in to the senior management team along with some details about what the BAD team do, and what they are hoping to achieve this year and my request was accepted.

“I’m so thankful because sponsorship will mean that the whole BAD team will benefit and continue to thrive.”

Dancer school principal Bobbi Newman, who started the dance school in 1995, said the money will allow the group to have matching uniforms and will provide transport to travel to London in March to perform at the Royal Albert Hall.
