THE Enterprise Network has announced Coffee Republic founder, Sahar Hashemi OBE, as its first keynote speaker for its forthcoming Women in Business Conference.

Ms Hashemi is one of UK’s most inspirational female entrepreneurs and a powerful speaker on innovation and entrepreneurial mindset.

The serial entrepreneur will share with the audience her personal stories on becoming the founder of the UK’s first coffee chain, Coffee Republic, which she and her brother grew to a £30 million turnover before exiting in 2001.

More recently, she has founded the guilt-free confectionery brand Skinny Candy, which she sold to Glisten Plc in 2007 and has written a number of business publications, inspiring business owners across the country.

The Enterprise Network (TEN) nurtures new and growing small and micro businesses in Swindon and Wiltshire, supporting them from the first ‘light bulb’ moment.

The conference is celebrating International Women’s Day 2016 and will showcase entrepreneurial talent across Swindon and Wiltshire with a full day of conference, workshops and exhibition time.

Jol Rose, development officer at The Enterprise Network, said: “We are delighted that Sahar will be joining us to speak at the TEN Women in Business Conference.

“Her story is one of ambition and true entrepreneurial spirit that will inspire and motivate all who attend.

“The aim of the day is to create a collaborative environment, that will not only help businesses build lasting connections, but also provide great advice that can help their longer term business goals.”

The Women in Business Conference will be held on March 8 at the Bowood Hotel and Spa, near Calne.

Tickets for the conference are priced at £20 per person and can be purchased at www.theenterprisenetwork.co.uk
