TEN years ago guitarist to the stars Andy Fairweather Low found his way back to the stage as an artist in his own right. Now is he is headed to Swindon with his band The Low Riders for a rocking night of 60s and 70s anthems.
Fairweather Low came to prominence as the lead singer of Amen Corner which topped the UK charts with ‘(If Paradise Is) Half As Nice’ in 1969 but, despite another top five hits, it seemed the band could not survive success.
After a brief solo career Fairweather Low became the go-to guitarist for music legends including Eric Clapton and Roger Waters. After 26 years he decided to go solo once more, touring with his own band.
Andy Fairweather and The Low Riders will perform Amen Corner hits as well as some of the guitarist’s favourite tunes at the Arts Centre on Sunday, February 14 at 8pm. Tickets are £22 available from swindontheatres.co.uk or on 01793 524481.
