A KIND-HEARTED mystery donor has given inspirational youngster Kyle Truman £400 to get him closer to his fairytale trip to Disneyworld.

An elderly man dropped a donation into the Adver offices with a request that it would be added to the five-year-old’s Disneyworld fund.

Kyle, from Walcot was diagnosed with genetic condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy last year.

The muscle-weakening condition which only affects boys means Kyle has difficulty, walking, standing up and running and will inevitably need a wheelchair as his muscles deteriorate.  Men with the condition will usually only live into their 20s or early 30s.

His loving mother Natasha was determined to take Kyle on a dream trip to Disneyworld Florida, before he loses his mobility. She said the man’s generosity had overwhelmed her.

“Oh my god, it’s just one of the best pieces of news we could hope. This man, has been so kind and he has got us one step closer to getting Kyle to Disneyworld.

“Thank you so much, I hope he knows how much it means to us, he has been so kind. Every donation means that we get a bit closer to the Magic Kingdom and Kyle’s dream. We’re so grateful.

“I would love to be able to thank this man in person, I hope he comes forward.”

The town community has rallied behind resilient Kyle to make his dreams come true.

Since his appeal was launched in September, more than £4,000 has been donated by generous town residents.

Proud mum Natasha is now more determined than ever before to get Kyle and his family to Florida before his mobility gets worse.

“Kyle’s condition is advanced for his age and lately he has been struggling with his movement. It has been difficult for him. He doesn’t let it stop him though, he’s still happy and content,” she said.

Natasha said she was also bolstered by the support Kyle had received from his school, Swindon Academy.

“The school helps Kyle out a lot and when they do races, all of the children want Kyle on their team, he’s friends with everyone.

“It does make me tear up and feel emotional with the support he has had from his schoolfriends and the support the family has received since the appeal was launched.”

Real-life superhero Kyle has continued to defy the odds since his diagnosis in June and recently completed a sponsored walk dressed in his favourite Hulk suit.
