Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the face while walking along the cycle path on Shaftesbury Avenue near Dorcan Academy
A MAN was punched in the face while walking along the cycle path on Shaftesbury Avenue near Dorcan Academy.
The victim was asked by a man if he had any cigarette papers at 8.45am on Monday, February 8; when he said 'no' the suspect assaulted him.
The suspect is described as white, skinny, in his late 20s and wearing light blue jeans, a dark coloured-parka coat, with fur on the hood, and black trainers with bright green flashes on them.
The victim, who was shaken but uninjured, said the suspect had his hood up and walked off after the attack.
