THE Swindon-bound main railway line has reopened after urgent track repairs near Bristol Parkway.

There are still delays of up to 40 minutes, said Great Western Railway.

A Network Rail spokesman said: "A train driver reported seeing a kink in the line.

"We immediately closed the line to investigate.

"Services from Bristol Parkway are affected but not those from Bristol Temple Meads."

GWR tickets were being accepted on other networks between Gloucester and Newport, and on First WestofEngland 47, X47, X49 and 81 bus routes, because of the emergency track work.
