A SUSPECTED cannabis farmer has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The man was arrested on Saturday after police discovered 18 cannabis plants at an address in Cricklade.

He was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis and possession with intent to supply.

A spokesman for Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “18 plants were seized, further prepared cannabis was also found within the property, already bagged up and ready to be sold, and the equipment used to grow the plants, has now been destroyed.”

Today Wiltshire Police announced the man had been released pending further enquiries.
