SWINDON star Billie Piper and DJ Chris Evans have divorced today.

The couple's decree nisi was one of 30 cases heard at the High Court in London.

The former Bradon Forest pupil married the radio star, who is 17 years her senior, in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony in 2001, following a whirlwind romance.

But the couple, who live just down the road from each other, drifted apart and split in 2005.

Billie is understood not to be asking for a penny of the multi-millionaire's fortune, and is reported to have said demanding any of it would be disgusting.

Earlier this year rumours were rife that Billie was to marry actor Laurence Fox, her co-star in West End debut Treats.

But they have both denied this.

The divorce is expected to become final in six weeks time when they receive their decree absolute.
