Chart busting singers board the soul train bound for Swindon.

Soul Legends has an all star cast that at varying venues includes Clem Curtis and The Foundations, Gwen Dickey from Rose Royce, Jimmy James and Jaki Graham.

Clem comes from a musical background, his mum was a well known singer in Trinidad, but the singer, in his early years, was a professional boxer.

It was his uncle who encouraged him to sing and urged him to join The Ramong Sound who were looking for backing singers.

In 1967 the band reinvented itself as The Foundations with Clem as lead singer, and went on to have worldwide hits with Baby Now That I've Found You and Build Me Up Buttercup.

In later years Clem has worked with Jimmy James and The Vagabonds, also part of the Soul Legends' stable, on shows such as Love Train and he even had a small acting part on TV in The Bill.

Today Clem's knockout sound is part of the Soul Legends show, alongside R 'n' B singer Gwen Dickey, whose band Rose Royce was a sound track to the 1970s, with hits such as Wishing on a Star, I Wanna Get Next To You and the classic number one hit Car Wash.

Sweet soul music from every decade is mixed into the American show with songs from super stars Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Michael Jackson and Tina Turner.

The soul express rumbles in to the Wyvern Theatre on Saturday, April 9 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £23 from 01793 524481.
