FOLLOWING the death of Mr Peter Regelous, a long-serving committee member of the Swindon branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society, his family donated his collection of vintage single malt whisky to the RAeS to use in his memory.
A Whisky Galore raffle was held within in the Branch and at the Defence Academy to celebrate Burns Night, with the proceeds going to the Flying Scholarships for Disabled People at RAF Fairford where £1,435 was raised and the cheque was presented by Richard and Iris Regelous to the Flying Scholarships for Disabled People representatives at last evening’s meeting of the local RAeS Branch at the Defence Academy Shrivenham.
People wishing to join the Swindon and Defence Academy Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society, which meets on the first Wednesday of each month between October and May, should email raesswindon@gmail.com .
