PERFORMERS in Swindon are being reminded they do not have long left to sign up to a local talent competition.
inSwindon BID company, which is responsible for the town centre, want to recognise the ‘BEST’ talent Swindon has to offer.
They are inviting all dancers, singers, actors, illusionists, comedians, bands, contortionists, musicians and even jugglers to submit and showcase their skills at the Town Centre talent competition.
All entries must be submitted by 5pm on April 15. All participants need to do is upload their entry performance via YouTube or Vimeo and send inSwindon the link via the online entry form.
Seven finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges with the eighth being voted for by the public on inSwindon’s Facebook page. Voting will start after 5pm for an hour and the winner will be the act with the most likes.
The final eight contestants will compete against each other live at the ‘BEST’ of Swindon finals on April 23 between 2pm and 4pm as part of the town centre St George's Day celebrations.
The winner of the competition will be chosen on the day by the talent spotting judges and will get the chance to perform at the Swindon town centre Christmas lights switch on, which is attended by over 10,000 people.
They will also receive £250 worth of shopping vouchers to spend in the town centre.
