AN 18-year-old man was taken to hospital last night after the car he was in collided with a lamppost in Eastleaze.
The collision happened just before 9.30pm in Whitehill Way and police closed the road for two hours until 11.20pm.
The 20-year-old female driver of the black Vauxhall Corsa was unhurt. While the teenager was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford by land ambulance with back and chest injuries.
Police say as a result of the impact with the lamppost the car lost its back axle.
