A MAN will go before a crown court judge to face a charge of putting a woman in fear of violence through harassment.
Jacob Quinn, 21, of Langstone Way, Westlea, entered no plea to the charge when he came before magistrates sitting in Swindon on Monday morning having spent the weekend in custody.
The court heard that he had been arrested for causing a woman harassment between April 2 and April 16.
The court heard he had caused the woman to fear violence would be used against her by his course of conduct by sending her numerous correspondence including material such as pictures of serial killers, dead babies, cannibals, explicit pornography and rapists.
The magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case and referred it to Swindon Crown Court where the next hearing will be held on May 20. He was remanded in custody.
