WORK has just finished on a £300,000 refurbishment of the Pizza Hut restaurant in Shaw, which has led to the creation of 20 new jobs.

The re-opening is part of a multi-million pound nationwide redesign programme by the popular chain, which will also see a new menu introduced.

The redesigned restaurant provides a more open and inviting dining space for customers along with improved lighting schemes, showcasing the fresh food and vibrant atmosphere in the Hut.

Restaurant manager Rusell Malem said: “We can’t wait to re-open our doors and show off our fantastic new look.

“Everyone is really excited about the re-design and we’re confident guests will enjoy the vibrant and modern atmosphere as much as we do.

"Our new menu items are sure to go down a treat, in particular our succulent BBQ ribs and delicious waffles."

Juliette Thorpe is one of the new employees who has been taken on during the refurbishment work.

She said: "We can’t wait to share the fun atmosphere and delicious new menu with our guests. The new Ultimate Thin pizza is incredible followed by Cookie Dough for dessert.”

The investment in Swindon is part of a broader £60 million refurbishment and restructuring programme for the business.
