A LORRY collided with a car between Kemble and Cirencester today, causing its goods to be strewn across the road.
The incident happened by the junction between Tetbury Road and the A429 in Gloucestershire at about 10am this morning.
The road was closed in both directions and there has been slow traffic due to bricks scattered across the road.
It is believed that the lorry, carrying about 10 to 12 tonnes of bricks, collided with a Volvo XC60.
Both drivers were not injured though they were both shaken up after the incident.
Some of the bricks hit passing vehicles during the collision and one image in particular showed a driver's lucky escape with a number of bricks smashing through the windscreen into the front seats of the car.
UPDATE: Cotswold Police tweeted at 3.50pm that the road was still closed but the lorry had been removed and bricks were still being cleared.
