COUN Russell Holland has been selected as new deputy leader of Swindon Borough Council after Brian Mattock lost his Old Town seat in last week's election.
Coun Holland held his seat, Stratton St Margaret and South Marston, for the Conservatives on Thursday while Jane Milner- Barry is the new Labour councillor for Old Town.
The leader of the council remains David Renard, whose Haydon Wick seat was not contested in the latest round of elections.
