Drummer Chrissy Lee will swing in to the beat with a Swindon-based all girl Big Band tomorrow at Swindon’s Arts Centre from 7.30pm.
The Swing Birds, led by Mo Squires, was formed in the latter part of 2014 by Bird-in-Chief Mo Squires, as a tribute to the female band leaders of the World War Two era.
Chrissy has supported The Beatles and also played in Frank Skinner’s house band, The Skinnerettes, on his TV show. She has appeared with Jack Parnell at the London Palladium and was in the 1960s line up of the Ivy Benson Band. Tickets for the Swindon gig are £12 and £10 concessions on 01793 524481
