POLICE are investigating an assault on a 30 -year-old male in Old Town in the early hours of the morning of Sunday, May 8.

The male was assaulted at the taxi rank on Wood Street, around 2.15am when an unknown offender lunged at the victim, knocking his glasses off.

The offender is described as white with a big beard and was wearing 1920's style clothing including a waistcoat and white shirt. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward on 101.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a glass door to The Fish Company, fish and chip shop, (formerly Noffs) on Grange Drive, Stratton was smashed.

It happened between 10pm on Saturday, May 7, and 6.20am on Sunday, May 8. The offender(s) entered the shop and stole three charity tins. Anyone with information should call police on 101.

Witnesses are being sought after a male was seen walking along Deerhurst Way, Toothill, around midday on Wednesday, May 11, who was reported to be trying people's front doors. He is described as white, in his mid-20s, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a red hoody with a black band and a white stripe across the chest and dark trousers. He was wearing the hood up.

A house in the High Street , Haydon Wick, was broken into and jewellery of low value and a small amount of cash were stolen.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after reports that three males were seen kicking cars parked in Cobden Road, Rodbourne, between 1am and 1.30am on Saturday, May 7. One suspect was wearing a grey top and another was wearing a dark blue hoody. Call police on 101.
