POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a window of the Phone Fixers shop in Theatre Square was smashed.

The incident happened at about 2.45am on Thursday, April 14, and Wiltshire Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to.

He was seen walking in the area with a male and female at about this time.

Police are appealing for information after a hydraulic drill was stolen from a trailer.

The incident happened while the vehicle - a white Ford Transit - was parked up in Devizes Road, near to Wood Street, Old Town between 9pm and 9.15pm on May 19.

The drill weighs over 100kg and was left unattended in a trailer for a short time.

PC Jonathan Kilburn said: "Due to the size and weight of the equipment, it would have required two people to lift and the likely use of a vehicle to leave the scene.

"We would like to hear from any motorists or pedestrians in the area at the time of the incident who may have witnessed anything suspicious."

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a unit in Hargreaves Road, Groundwell Industrial Estate.

It took place sometime between 10.30pm on Sunday, May 15 and 8am on Monday, May 16.

Two motorcycles, an orange KTM Freeride and blue and black Yamaha DT 125, and a red quad bike were among the items taken.

Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at this time is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101.

The quad bike and Yamaha were recovered on Tuesday, May 17.

Following reports of a man trying the doors of cars parked in Linden Way, officers detained a man at the scene.

The incident happened at 2am on Monday, May 16.

A 40-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft, theft from a motor vehicle and vehicle interference. He was released on conditional bail.

A group of youths were seen vandalising an allotment area in the Penhill Haven, behind Penhill Library.

Witnesses to the incident on Sunday, May 15, are asked to call 101.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a house in Juno Way was broken into sometime between Wednesday, May 11 and 10am on Tuesday, May 17. Jewellery and cash were taken. Witnesses are asked to call the police on 101.
