MAGISTRATES have told a Swindon man he will have to pay £347 after being caught fishing without a licence.
Chanza Walters, 41, of Curtis Street, was not present in court on May 9, but the case was proven in his absence.
The court heard that on September 10 last year, Walters had been fishing, by rod or line, at Plaum's Pit, off Cheney Manor Road, without the proper paperwork.
He was fined £200, he must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £127.
