POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three people were assaulted in Swindon town centre.

Three men assaulted two men and a woman around 3am on bank holiday Monday, May 2, outside Topshop on Canal Walk.

The first man is described as 5ft 11ins, white, aged 20 to 30 with a small, round head, flat/sloped forehead with closely cut, short dark brown hair. He had a tanned complexion, a big nose with a prominent crook at the top of it, also gaunt cheeks. He was clean shaven and possibly of eastern European background with an athletic build and stockier than the other two males. He was wearing a brown T-shirt, dark jeans and dark trainers.

The second man is skinnier and taller than the first, white and aged in his early 20s. He had a pale complexion with fair, short, spiky hair which was shaved at the sides and longer on top – untidy at the front but styled. He had a thin, pointed nose and was wearing a white zip-up hoodie (possibly Adidas) with stripes on the sleeves with, possibly, a blue shirt underneath. He was wearing lighter blue jeans and possibly light trainers. He was clean shaven and, again, of eastern European background.

The third man is described as being the same height and build and similar age to other males. He had dark hair that was longer than the other two and was wearing a black jacket with a Harrington-style collar. No hood and no emblems were noted.

PC Nathan Perry said: "The attack must have been seen by someone, although it was very early in the morning, it was a bank holiday and there were people still about in the town centre.
