Take a peep at a quintessentially Swindonian art exhibition by Juliet Wood called Alone and Together, Brunel's People, on show in the Central Library, Regent Circus.

The series of paintings were created over a 10 year period and are based around the transient life of cafe culture.

While sitting in Swindon's McDonald's, Juliet observed and sketched staff and customers and the patterns of interaction or brief encounters as people flitted in and away, the ebb and flow of life.

The exhibition is part of the Made in Swindon Art Trail, helping to mark the 175th anniversary of Brunel's Swindon based Great Western Railway. Opening times are: Monday - Friday: 9.30am-7pm, Saturday: 9.30am - 4pm and Sunday: 11am - 3pm. The exhibition runs until July.
