FOOTBALL fans can rejoice as being stuck in the office no longer means missing out on all the sporting excitement.

Workspace provider Regus is helping local professionals to catch the England vs Wales European Championship match by opening its business lounges up for free.

Swindon workers can head to the business lounge at Windmill Hill Business Park for 2pm today where they will find a modern, productive work environment equipped with high-speed connectivity, coffee and refreshments, and professional front-of-house staff.

Richard Morris, UK CEO of Regus, said: “We know how much this match means to everybody and our network of business lounges puts us in a unique position to help. Our thinking is that, by working locally rather than commuting to the main office, people will be better placed to get to their favoured football-watching location in time for the 2pm kick-off.

“Of course, the match is in office-hours, so workers will still need to negotiate timings with their bosses. But we are seeing businesses think far more flexibly about working patterns, and we believe many will be willing to accommodate the football fever.”

The match has been trumpeted as one of the biggest for both countries in decades, but due to the afternoon kick-off most of the UK’s football mad workforce are likely to miss out.

Regus is enabling them to work from nearby business lounges rather than struggling with the commute and potentially missing the unfolding drama at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens.

The Regus business lounge is at Windmill Hill Business Park, Whitehill Way, and is available for free on a first-come-first-served basis today.
