POLICE are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a crash that resulted in a motorcyclist being airlifted to hospital.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Sunday on the A4361 near Wroughton at the crossroads for Salthrop and Uffcott.

The collision involved a red Yamaha motorcycle and two cars, a grey Volkswagen and a yellow Nissan.

The motorcyclist, a 24 year old male from Swindon, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. There were no other injuries.

PC Jasmin Windsor said: "We closed the road for around five hours while we carried out investigation work.

"This is the main road between Swindon and Devizes, and I'm interested in speaking with anyone who was in the area at the time that may have witnessed the incident."
