A SWINDON man has pleaded guilty to trying to take photographs up the skirts of young girls.

Wayne Compton, 45, of Rodbourne Road, will appear in court this week to be sentenced and has been told that all options, including prison, remain open.

Compton appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on May 25 accused of outraging public decency.

The court heard that he repeatedly placed his hand under the hem of dresses worn by three young girls, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to try and take pictures.

He pleaded guilty to the offences and was bailed with conditions not to have unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.

A CHARITY fundraiser who turned rowdy in McDonald's and demanded a lift from police because he said he paid taxes, has been fined.

Radoslaw Pietrzak, of Lincoln Street, stumbled into the fast food chain in Greenbridge Retail Park, lost and drunk, after mixing antibiotics and alcohol following an argument with his girlfriend.

But when he started swearing at staff and refusing to leave, the manager called police. When police arrived Pietrzak demanded they give him a lift home.

When the 33-year-old Honda employee appeared before Swindon magistrates he admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place on May 22.

Pauline Lambert, prosecuting, said: “When officers arrived he said he was glad they came because he wanted a lift home and told them they were a taxi and public service for him.”

“He was ushered out and they spent ten minutes trying to get him to leave and he refused to accept a fixed penalty notice. ”

Cathy Thornton, defending, said: “He is not the sort of person you would think would be here before this court. He is polite, intelligent and very embarrassed. He is Polish and has lived here for ten years. He came here for a holiday and loved it so much he stayed and worked here.

“He had an abscess on his gum and was on strong antibiotics. He had a row with his girlfriend and went out with his friend. His friend deserted him and he was lost and very drunk. He was trying to call police because he didn’t know where he was.

"He was trying to make a joke with police and didn’t mean to offend them.”

He can hardly believe he acted in this way.

She said he had recently been part of a charity bike ride in Snowdonia and helped raise thousands of pounds for a hospital baby unit.

Bench chairman June May said: “We will mark this offence by way of a fine.”ordered him to pay £125 fine, a £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

A teenager who was involved in the trade in heroin and cocaine in Wichelstowe has been released on bail by a judge.

Calvin Drew, 18, pleaded guilty to three counts of being concerned in the supply of hard drugs when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

Drew admitted his part in dealing heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine between November last year and January 9.

Recorder Gordon Bebb QC adjourned the case to Friday, July 29, so a pre-sentence report can be prepared and released Drew, of inner London, on bail until then.

He said "You must understand that all options are open to the court, it is just so the court can have all the information about you."

A 51-year-old man who had been accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm has been cleared by a jury.

Raisham Mudhar, of The Steadings, Royal Wootton Bassett, pleaded not guilty to the alleged incident, said to have taken place in March, 2014. Following a trial at Swindon Crown Court a jury took just an hour to find him not guilty of the matter.

A man who is accused of assaulting and imprisoning a woman is to face trial by judge and jury.

Nicholas Jackson pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment and common assault when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

The 43-year-old, of Frankel Avenue, Redhouse, is said to have carried out the alleged offences on Monday May 2.

Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case for a trial on Monday, October 10, and remanded him in custody until then.

A man will stand trial next month charged with assaulting a woman.

Eduardo Silva, 20, of Kingshill Road, denies the charge dating from May 19, but pleaded guilty on a reckless basis to a separate charge dating from the following day of assaulting a police officer.

He will now stand trial at North West Wiltshire Magistrates' Court in Chippenham on July 11.

In the meantime he was released on conditional bail to live and sleep at his home address.
