CELEBRITY chef Rick Stein has revealed his new restaurant is just months away from being opened.

A date in early autumn has been set to unveil the self-titled eatery in Marlborough High Street.

Work is already underway under the guidance of Jill Stein, son Ed and daughter-in-law Kate to design the interior of the Grade II listed building, and to transform Lloran House into a 100-seat restaurant.

Meanwhile Rick and his team are now looking for more than 40 "dynamic and enthusiastic" individuals to join the team at the restaurant in a variety of roles.

Ian Fitzgerald, operations director said: “We are really looking forward to meeting lots of talented people from Marlborough and the surrounding area. We are looking for positive, enthusiastic and hardworking people to join our team.”

Anyone interested in applying for a position is invited to drop into the restaurant’s recruitment day on July 19 at Marlborough Golf Club between 2pm to 4pm where there will be the opportunity to meet some of the team and to learn more about the group and the positions available.

The menu is also now in early stages of development and whilst it will remain faithful to Rick’s roots with a heavy focus on seafood, there will also be local produce including meat and game.

Jack Stein, group executive chef, said: “We’ve been spending the last few months looking into local suppliers and their products, just getting a real understanding of what is available in the area. We have found some great produce in Wiltshire which we are now hoping to incorporate into the menus.”
