A MAN in his 40s was attacked by two men who robbed him of his £1,000 bike.
The incident happened just after midnight on Friday, July 8, on Wootton Bassett Road.
A 43-year-old man, from the West Swindon area, was approached by two men.
The first punched him to the face while the second rode off on the victim's bike.
The bike is described as a Scott Sub 23 model is white and worth about £1,000.
The first man is described as mixed race, around 25-years-old with a heavy but athletic build. He was around 5ft 9ins tall, and had black hair, shaved at the sides.
He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and black Nike trainers.
The man who took the bike is described as white, aged 23 or 24 and of slim build. He was around 6ft tall with dark medium length hair.
He was wearing a multi-coloured sweatshirt, jeans and white trainers.
They fled in the direction of the town centre.
Investigating officer PC Joe Tompkinson said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area between midnight on Thursday, July 7, into the early hours of Friday, July 8, as they may have information to assist the investigation.
"I would also like to hear from anyone who has information regarding the location of the stolen bike.
"There are several marks on the bike that would make it easily identifiable to the victim, including damage to the frame."
